I want to change my Facebook name

By With No comments:
I want to change my Facebook name - Whether you’ve just gotten married and you no longer want to be identified with your birth name, or just want to change the overly formal “Robert” to “Rob” on your profile, here’s how to change the name you’re using on Facebook.

Before diving in, it’s worth having a look at Facebook’s name policy. You’re required to use “the name [you] go by in everyday life”, but this gives you a fair amount of flexibility. My name on Facebook is Henry and it’s what everyone calls me, but it’s not the name on my birth certificate.

You also can’t use things like:
  • Symbols, numbers, unusual capitalization, repeating characters or punctuation.
  • Characters from multiple languages.
  • Titles of any kind.
  • Words or phrases in place of a name.
  • Offensive or suggestive words of any kind.
As long as you don’t use anything too ridiculous, you should be able to change your name to whatever you want without Facebook having a fussy fit. It’s also worth noting, once you’ve changed your name, you won’t be able to change it again for another 60 days.

Before you change your name on Facebook, remember to review Facebook's name standards. After that is done, proceed with the steps below

ON BROWSER
  1. Click on  in the top right of any Facebook page and click on Settings.
  2. Click on Name.
  3. Enter your name and click on Review Change.
  4. Enter your password and click on Save Changes.

ON FACEBOOK APP
  1. Click on the menu button
  2. Scroll down and tap on Settings & Privacy
  3. Tap on Settings
  4. Under Account Settings, tap on Personal Information, where you can update your name, phone numbers and email addresses
  5. Under General, tap on Name
  6. On the pop-up screen, enter your new names and tap on Review Change
  7. You will be asked to preview your name, i.e, choose how your name will appear on your profile, make your choice and then enter your password and tap on Save Changes

Please share it!!!
